About the Program
Our Tech-cum-Softskills Training Program is meticulously designed to empower 20 to 30 day scholars, particularly targeting girls from socio-economically underserved communities, who have recently completed graduation or are in their final year of Science and Computer Science streams. The program is slated for a comprehensive 6-month duration, offering a full-time immersive experience comprising technical training, soft skills development, project work, and placements for deserving candidates. We are excited to announce the proposed start date for this transformative journey: June 2024.

TRAINING INFORMATION
The training will be for a period of 6 months, immersing participants in a full-time, 6-hour-a-day in-person program.
This includes 4 hours dedicated to technical content and 2 hours to soft skills training. The curriculum is structured to progress through three main phases: classroom training, hands-on project work, and deployment.
TRAINING SPECIFICS
SELECTION
Further to the call for applications, selection will be based on assessments and personal interviews. This process will include counseling for both parents and applicants to ensure alignment with program objectives and participant expectations.
CURRICULUM
Participants will have the opportunity to specialize Full Stack Development (comprising Mobile App and Web App development). Throughout the program, dedicated trainers and volunteering subject matter experts will guide and mentor participants, ensuring a seamless learning experience.
TRAINERS
We understand the importance of specialized expertise in both teaching and project execution. Therefore, our program shall recruit separate coaches for teaching and projects. Technical trainers for each stream, experienced Project Leads, and Soft Skills trainers shall form the backbone of our instructional team. Their combined efforts shall ensure comprehensive support for participants throughout their journey.
PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE
The process shall be designed to identify individuals with passion, perseverance, and a drive for excellence. Candidates shall be evaluated based on their consistency, persistence, and performance in assessments. Regular assignments, complex questions, puzzles, and aptitude tests shall form part of the evaluation process, ensuring a fair and comprehensive selection of the top candidates for suitable positions.

Variances in student capabilities, availability of instructors, project allotment, and addressing behavioral issues are among the challenges we shall proactively tackle. The Singar Skilling Full Stack Development Internship Program is for unemployed women graduates who have completed their degrees in B.Sc, M.Sc, BCA, MCA, B.Tech, or BE streams between 2022-2024. The applicants should know computer programming, and belong to families with an annual income of less than Rs. 3 lakhs.

Yes, participants will receive a certificate upon successfully completing the program.

What kind of support is provided to participants during and after the program?
Participants will receive ongoing support throughout the program, including mentorship, career guidance, and placement assistance upon completion. PLEASE NOTE: Financial support, food and accommodation will NOT be provided by the program organizers.

Can I participate in the Singar Skilling program if I have prior work experience?
Yes, individuals with prior work experience are welcome to apply for the program, provided they meet the eligibility criteria. Decision of the selection committee will however be final.

Is there any accommodation provided for participants who are not based in Chennai?
No, the organization does not provide accommodation for participants. The program will be held entirely in T Nagar, Chennai. However, participants who are not based in Chennai can still be considered for the program if they are willing to make their own accommodation arrangements. It's important to note that the organization bears no liability or responsibility for any arrangements or accommodations made by participants.
